Leeds, West YorkshireCowboy builder, a total con. Will run away with your money leaving you in a deep mess. Completely unprofessional behaviour. Doesn't have a proper team who will do a proper professional job. No reliable plumbers or tillers or floor laying people. I gave my double storey house extension project to Knox development, One fine day Paul Yates just disappeared without completing the extension and without any credible reasons. Not at all trustworthy, don't trust the references. Just will say anything to get the job. Absolutely hopeless job - Floors are uneven, the steel beam has uneven levels with a gap of 20 cm, which is completely disastrous and unbelievable. The floor joists are also not as per the regulations. There floor joist spacing is 50 cm, whereas it should have been only 40 cm, due to which there are a bounce and lot of movement in the newly installed floors. Clearly, it was done to cut corners. I have to now redo all of it. Every day I am discovering new problems. Not following the council approved plan is one of their traits. I had a cost escalation of 20k GBP on the top of what I had already paid the builder. The building inspector and all the other independent traders who are a witness as well to what happened. Please don't trust any of the references provided by Paul Yates. It is completely fake. In the last 2 weeks I have received threatening emails from the Builder and today this has crossed all the limits. I received a threatening text from one of the workers who were part of the Paul Yates team. He threatened to damage my property. The language used to threaten was absolute vulgar. These are not a civilized lot. I have reported Knox Developments to FMB & GMC as well. Knox development is not a member of any of these, though claimed otherwise.
