About the Business
The Cocker name is renowned in Derbyshire for being associated with quality workmanship and reliability in the building and construction industry for more than three generations, accumulating a valuable insight and vast knowledge in traditional and modern skills associated with all your building, conservation and maintenance requirements. J.N.Cocker Joinery Ltd was founded by John and Pat Cocker 25 years ago. These days have long gone, but the heritage and legacy left behind still remains.
Little did I know that when I started my own business 25 years ago I would be writing this. Many things have changed since then, as we are all aware. Customers have come and gone, but I still had the privilege of working for one or two of you who I worked for when I was an apprentice on the princely sum of 1/3 d per hour, or 6.25 pence. Over the years, I have met many people and travelled a fair few miles to do so.
